Non-volatile digital potentiometers are primarily used in applications that require long-term storage of resistance values, such as auto-calibration and auto-adjustment functions in electronic equipment. Nonvolatile digital potentiometers have the ability to store the resistance value compared to volatile digital potentiometers, so there is no need to reset the resistance value every time the power is turned on, but also require more complex control logic and additional nonvolatile The memory is used to store the resistance value, so the cost is higher.
